Firefly Relay privacy
Last updated: 29 September 2026
This policy covers the Firefly Relay Android game, made by Spareleg. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].
Your game on your device
The game does not require a player account. Progress, scores, best move counts, settings and rewarded chapter access are saved locally. We do not operate a cloud save or a public player leaderboard. Clearing app data or uninstalling can remove local records and rewarded unlocks.
Optional gameplay analytics
Gameplay analytics is off by default. If you switch it on in Settings, the game uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand level starts and outcomes, moves, active play time, tutorials, help requests, chapter access and purchase outcomes. It does not send your name, email address or payment details as gameplay events.
Firebase also processes an app-instance identifier, device and app information, and approximate location derived from network information. Advertising-ID collection and advertising personalisation are disabled for this analytics integration. Analytics consent is separate from your advert choices.
You can turn analytics off in Settings. This stops future collection and resets the local analytics identifier; it does not automatically delete data previously sent. See Firebase privacy information and Google's Privacy Policy.
Adverts and your choices
Firefly Relay uses Google AdMob for optional rewarded adverts, including chapter unlocks and some help options. Google's consent service manages the choices required in your region. The game requests adverts only when that service allows it.
AdMob and its advertising partners may process device identifiers, IP addresses, approximate location, app and device information, advertising interactions and diagnostic information to deliver adverts, measure performance and prevent fraud. Non-personalised adverts can still involve data processing. Where available, use Privacy & ad choices in Settings to revisit your choices. Your device also provides advertising-identifier controls.
Read how Google uses information from apps that use its services and Google Mobile Ads SDK data information.
Purchases
Google Play processes the optional one-time unlock purchase. The game checks purchase status and acknowledges completed purchases to enable access. Spareleg does not receive your card details. A purchased unlock can be restored through Google Play using the purchasing account; locally rewarded chapter access is separate. Resetting game progress does not refund a purchase.
Storage, retention and sharing
Local records remain on your device until reset or removed. Google processes service data under its own policies and the applicable service settings. Turning a feature off prevents future collection by that feature but is not a request to erase previously collected service data. We do not sell personal information or include a separate developer account service. The Google services described here process data to provide analytics, adverts, consent and purchases.
Children and privacy requests
A parent or guardian concerned about personal data supplied through a service in the game can contact us for help directing a request. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal information. Local progress can be reset in Settings. For Google-held data, Google's privacy controls and request channels may also apply.
Contact [email protected] with privacy questions. Please do not send payment-card information or passwords. We may update this policy as the game and its services change; the date above will identify the current version.
